A palette of fun, fashion & fairyfloss.

Mid Fashion week fever saw Fashion Palette's 2nd birthday party at the prestigious Ivy Pool. Fashion's elites were invited into another realm... full of fairyfloss, cupcakes and cocktails.
This exclusive party was everything and more than expected in paving the way for Sydney fashion. Fashion Palette's founder, Sónya Meffadi used her knack for organising events with greats causes at heart. To firstly feature Australian Fashion - Annaessia as well as Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, with all proceeds going to the organisation that Ralph Lauren first created.

The Anneassia dresses combined with avante-garde styling created a show stopping runway show. The collection saw sequins, sparkles, copious amounts of tulle and the most unique head pieces/masks. The collection created that real fantasy feel, a combination of romantic princesses meets a sophisticated circus crew.

Sónya and her brand Fashion Palette are an inspiration to all young and upcoming designers, stylists and artists. FP's 2nd birthday went off with a bang in showing what hard work and determination can achieve.

Check out the pictures below.

&Remember, fashion can make the difference, whether it be in promoting awareness for a great cause or paving the future for artists and designers.

Logie loving.

The red carpet saw a lot of whites, reds and other bold colours. Slits & V-necks are also seen to be popular. Decide for yourself what works and who needs to hire a stylist ASAP.

There is such thing as a slit, and a slutty slit, showing some leg may be sexy,
but no one needs to see everything hidden in there. All in all i don't think this dress is flattering at all and makes her look ten times bigger than she truly is.

7pm's star Carrie Bickmore knows how to wear colour, this teal works wonders with her complexion.

I die (to the left, to the left).

Dracula's bride. Need i say more?

ANTM's Charlotte Dawson knows how to be sultry for her age.
The colour, V-neck line and slit combination is sexy yet elegant.

The Leopard was so close to being sophisticted, however it is hard to even draw your eyes
away from that American-cheerleader of a pony tail.

An example of a conservative yet sexy slit.

It could have been a beautiful gown.. instead we have a belly dance'rs
dream dress on the not so belly dancer.

Alex Perry!! so much love. This dress represents his new collection well.

Stunning dress... however there's a reason for these colours being 'baby' hues.. because they are suited for younger generations but still a beautiful gown nonetheless.

We have yet another slit gone wrong, as well as a leotard! transparent material that should definitely NOT be transparent and and a fur vest to top it off!? This outfit definitely can't be missed, it is edgy and risky i'll give it that as well as Worst Dressed. Sorry.

BEST DRESSED: At first your eye is drawn to the elegant ruffle attachment, before even noticing this gorgeous woman is pregnant. Job well done.

Sexy & Sophisticated.

Katy Perry's avante garde meet eighties cocktail dress = art.

BEST DRESSED: I can't stop staring at the detail of the top of the dress!

Can this goddess ever go wrong?

Yes it is odd to sight the Biggest Loser star sporting, well something other than sportswear. The Brown satin rouching is beautiful. I would have liked a not so harsh hair style however, maybe even a loose bun to keep her hair off her shoulders to highlight her amazing collar bone.

Sass & Bide's duo Heidi and Sarah-Jane are so incredibly hot! How can they ever go wrong except for maybe spending too long in the solarium.

Amazing, and how cute is the cheesy grin.
This sculptured silhouette of a dress is to die for.

She's a top model, she doesn't have to be best dressed right?

OsamaBamaRama.

At long last, almost ten years later Osama, the most feared man of this decade, next to Lord Voldermort(yes it was necessary to make a HP references after all the FB pages), has been killed/caught/whatever term you wish to use despite going against the UN’s wishes.
Reminiscent of another evil power that will go down in history – Adolph Hitler was also killed on the same day decades ago. Consider May 1st a lucky day readers.

Obama brought hope to our screens in delivering a speech that will never be forgotten. What the American people had been waiting for, for years, some form of justice, some form of relief has been for filled. Parties have been going all night in the states, in Washington around the White House and of course around Ground Zero. While this day reminds us of the thousands of lives lost, during September 11th and since then lives lost in the Middle East fighting for us, I can’t help but worry. Worry, that while the Al Quida is without their famous leader, that the role of leader will soon be refilled. While this day marks a day of justice for Americans, it unfortunately fuels the anger, hatred and passion that symbolises what the Al Quida represent.

Mum why couldn’t you send me to the same school as Prince William?

Kate Middleton’s mother may have sent her daughter to the same school as the Prince purposely in hope that they would one day fall in love... but then again so did every other mother. And why wouldn’t you? He will one day be king after all, and how couldn’t you fall in love with his smile, pre-receding-hairline days, of course.  While Pippa – Kate’s stunning sister, and Harry – Will’s brother have been labelled the ‘hotter’ one’s of their siblings, you can’t deny that the future King & Queen’s good looks will follow Princess Diana’s style-icon ways.

Now what every girl, was waiting for, other than seeing the TV screen smooch, was to see The Dress! The dress that will define the decade resembled that of Grace Kelly’s – simplistic, yet sexy while being conservative but a classic nonetheless. Sarah Burton designed the gown under Alexander Mcqueen’s Label. Pictured is the curvy v-neck French lace, tiara and veil, handed down by the Queen Mother herself and the train, not nearly as over the top or as ‘boofy’ as Princess Diana’s.

We’ll b e sure to be seeing similar necklines that are ever so flattering to one’s collar bones as well as a lot of lace in the future, so that every ordinary ‘commoner’ out there can feel like a Queen-to-be too.

If you have to cry, go outside.

"You have to fake it, to make it" in one of the most cut throat industries - fashion. Kelly Cutrone's New York Times Bestseller is a must read. People Revolution's PR director Cutrone, most well known for being the PR-bitch-knowitall on MTV's The Hills & and The City. Whether she is making LC cry on the hills or telling off a model for being too skinny on The City, her brutal honesty is what we love about her. Her book
encapsulates the raw edge that defines Cutrone. She let’s us in to her most personal life-defining moments while being nothing but an inspiration for us entrepreneurs. Her most inspirational moment would be an art exhibit she created called Love.Spit.Love featuring naked couples making love in an art gallery. Shocking? That’s not all, as the reader is allowed into each shock shaping moment of one of the world’s best know PR practitioners.
